local, and federal agencies

and expedient a manner as possible
The Governor's Office of Regulatory
Assistance can assist film companies in determining which environmental permits
and approvals may be requested for each project. The review period for each
environmental permit is dependent on the complexity of the film shoot, project
location, and the project's impact to the environment. The timeframe may vary
from two weeks for simple projects to one year for more complex projects.
For more information visit the Office of
Regulatory Assistance website at
www.ora.wa.gov. The website offers some
environmental publications and permit application forms to download or print,
as well as the new Online Permit Assistance System (OPAS). OPAS helps the
applicant determine environmental requirements for their project based on
answers to a series of questions. OPAS will provide a list of permits required
(as well as description of each permit) and names and phone numbers of the
agencies to contact.
