Ian Bell is the creator and director of Source Material, an all-archival digital series produced for VICE News. While at VICE he contributed archival-oriented projects for VICE News Tonight, VICE on Showtime, and VICE Special Report, which aired in primetime his real-time recreation of the events of January 6th, 187 Minutes. His short documentary about the 2018 false missile alert in Hawaii, 808: How We Respond, premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest and won best short documentary at Tallgrass Film Festival. Ian’s most recent release, which examined the impact of gun violence in America, was commissioned and released by Tubi.
