We’re looking for 30 emerging directors and producers across Washington State to participate in our inaugural cohort. This program will be available to participants at NO COST!
In addition to 12 weeks of scheduled classes, panels, and discussion, covering working in Washington, legal basics for narrative projects, financing, budgeting, production, and marketing and distribution, participants will also have access to an online forum to engage directly with each other and Washington Filmworks staff throughout the program and beyond.
Upon completing the Education Forum, participants are eligible to apply for the Mentorship portion of the program which will pair mentors with producer/director teams as they move their projects toward production.

EDUCATION FORUM INFORMATION
(You must complete the Education Forum to be eligible to apply for the subsequent Mentorship Program)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

// 5 hour/week commitment (Wed 5:30-7:30p & Sat 9a-12p)
// Classes, panels, and discussions led by industry experts

// Participants must be over 18, a Washington resident, and identify as a member of a historically underrepresented community*
// Successful graduates are eligible to apply for the six-month Mentorship portion of the program

After completing the Education Forum, program participants can apply for a Mentorship portion of the program which will launch in 2024.
