Brent Stiefel is the founder and CEO of Votiv, the media group advancing the world’s brightest talent through film and television production and artist management. Brent founded Votiv in 2010, establishing the company to lead with an artist-driven approach – making socially salient and left-of-center projects with a commercial heartbeat.
His most recent credits include Wicker, directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Fischer and starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård, which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival; Christy, David Michôd’s feature starring Sydney Sweeney, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival; and Tow, directed by Stephanie Laing and starring Rose Byrne and Dominic Sessa, which debuted at the 2025 Tribeca Festival. Upcoming from Brent is Justin Kurzel’s Burning Rainbow Farm starring Sebastian Stan and Leo Woodall, and Patricia Wants to Cuddle, adapted from Samantha Allen’s acclaimed novel, with Sophia Takal set to direct.
Brent has produced a number of high profile independent feature films, many of which have received recognition across the industry’s top festivals and awards, with early credits including Jake Mahaffy’s Free in Deed, Miles Joris-Peyrafitte’s As You Are, and Gillian Robespierre’s Obvious Child starring Jenny Slate.
