Jared McGilliard is a Director, Executive Producer, and founder of Nomadica Films, a production company dedicated to creating immersive, character-driven documentary films and television series with purpose and perspective.
His credits include critically acclaimed series such as Inside Combat Rescue for National Geographic, The Last Alaskans and Dodo Heroes for Animal Planet, the award-winning children’s series Izzy’s Koala World for Netflix, Gold and Greed for Netflix, the Webby Award–winning campaign and documentary The Swim, and Between the Rains, winner of Best Documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Jared began his career in pursuit of unpredictability, and the stories he’s told and the people he’s met continue to challenge his understanding of the world and his place in it. Whether filming in Afghanistan, the Amazon, or the Arctic, his mission remains the same: to bring home stories that move audiences as deeply as they’ve moved him…ideally returning with a slightly bigger beard than when he left.
