Leslie Daniels (she/her)

Leslie Daniels is an emerging writer, director, editor, and producer in the Seattle film industry. She began her storytelling journey as a theater and film actor, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from SUNY Purchase College. Leslie later transitioned to film production, recently serving as an Assistant Production Coordinator on director Megan Griffith’s film “Year of the Fox”; which was released on Netflix. Currently, she is an independent filmmaker developing a feature documentary. Drawing inspiration from her New Orleans roots, she strives to capture in her films notes of idiosyncratic music, dance, and speech—along with themes of pain, laughter, pride, spirituality, and triumph. Additionally, she is a board member of Wheelhouse and works for the Office of Economic Development’s Creative Economy Division, where she supports the M5 Creative project, promoting the success and growth of creatives and creative businesses in Seattle and Washington State.
