Rodney Outlaw is an accomplished audio engineer, music producer, recording artist, and educator with more than 20 years of professional experience in the music and audio industry. A graduate of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, Rodney has built a career spanning studio recording, music production, live sound, digital audio, and artist development.
He is the creator and lead instructor of the Audio Engineering program at Walla Walla Community College, where he helped design a hands-on, one-year certificate program that prepares students for careers through real-world experience in recording, mixing, live sound, and digital production.
Through the Walla Walla Music Organization, Rodney has also spent years making professional audio education accessible to young people and connecting students with community projects, internships, artists, venues, and professional opportunities.
His approach to audio engineering goes beyond teaching equipment and software—he uses music and technology as tools to build confidence, develop workforce skills, create pathways into the creative industries, and empower the next generation of engineers, producers, and artists.
