In his presentation, he shared new trends in film distribution, including VOD, day-and-date releases, demand-based theatrical and non-theatrical exhibition. Douglas gave the FMI audience a glimpse into emerging opportunities in film finance, such as crowd-investing and staged financing. He also shared why he believes the economics of independent film have been a crazy bet for the past five years.
