The Film + Music + Interactive Media Happy Hour at Spitfire Grill, every last Wednesday of the month, is shaking things up in October. Next week, on October 28, will be the series’ Election Edition where you can meet the 2015 Seattle City Council candidates and discuss issues that are of the utmost importance to the creative community. We want to make sure the entertainment industry is involved in this opportunity for a significant political conversation.
These candidates are ready to engage with you about Seattle’s larger creative economy. Do you want to know what they have to say? Each candidate has been asked ahead of the event to answer the following question about film, with answers in the link: What do you propose Seattle can do to be more competitive with Vancouver, Portland, and other leading-edge filmmaking cities?. There is also a question pertaining to music: What will you do to support a vibrant local music scene and healthy music economy?
Attend the October 28 Happy Hour to mingle with these candidates and be engaged, heard, and informed – here’s more online information. See you at the Spitfire Grill next Wednesday at 5-7pm!
