IT’S TIME TO KEEP FILM IN WA – START NOW
The Campaign Has Launched And Here Are Ways You Can Help.
Thank you to all who came out to support the Washington State film industry at one of our Keep FIlm in WA Launches in Spokane, Bellingham, and Seattle. Your advocacy and enthusiasm fuel our campaign and will inspire us through the legislative session – thank you!
The session opens January 11, 2016 and the time to act is NOW. As we said at our launches, it is IMPORTANT that you get involved to increase the production incentive fund and extend our sunset date. There are THREE WAYS you can get involved:
1. RSVP FOR FILM DAY
RSVP For Film Day in Olympia on Thursday, January 21. Last year’s Film Day was a huge success, drawing over 300 film professionals and supporters that had the opportunity to meet with elected officials from their home districts. Join us for this year’s event – you can RSVP right here!
2. SIGN AND SHARE THE NEW KEEP FILM IN WA PETITION
We are asking film professionals and supporters across the state to sign the 2016 Keep Film in WA petition encouraging elected officials to increase funding for the production incentive program. We will use this petition on Film Day as another reminder to elected officials that film is important in Washington State.
***Even if you signed onto the petition last year, you MUST sign it again to be added to the 2016 petition.
3. SIGN AND SHARE THE NEW KEEP FILM IN WA BUSINESS LETTER OF SUPPORT
Last year we had over 260 Washington businesses sign onto our Business Letter of Support. We’ve updated the letter this year and we are looking to add to that number! If you own a business (or work with a business) that supports the film industry, please sign onto our NEW Business Letter of Support.
Business owners can sign onto the letter by sending an email to Info@WashingtonFilmworks.org.
***Even if you signed onto the business letter of support last year, you MUST sign it again to be added to the 2016 letter.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email Info@WashingtonFilmworks.org or call our office at 206-264-0667.

Thank you for your continued support – and let’s work to KEEP FILM IN WA!
