In August of 2012, Washington Filmworks (WF) began a Location of the Month newsletter to showcase the wide range of unique looks and resources in a number of jurisdictions around Washington State. Starting this year with Gig Harbor, we’ll distribute those on the blog as well. If you’d like to receive our regular newsletters and press releases via email, please sign up here. To sign up to receive blog posts, look for the “follow us” on the right of the WF Blog homepage.

CITY OF GIG HARBOR – January 2014
Gig Harbor is the first destination on the Kitsap Peninsula after crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. This vibrant community is notable for its maritime heritage, marinas, waterfront parks, upscale shops, galleries, restaurants, and more. Originating from two miles of walkable harbor front, Gig Harbor features a full service hotel, a cozy hotel plus suites, a quaint inn, houseboats, and multiple B&Bs. Whether you are looking for a beautiful backdrop for your film or a place where you can get re-energized away from the bustle of the big city, you’ll find the right location in Gig Harbor.
No matter the month, Gig Harbor is alive with events, activities, performances, and more. From outdoor music to farmers markets, holiday performances to kayak events, dog walks to 10K races – you name it, it’s in Gig Harbor.
