Book Signing Event in Olympia
Friday, April 24 at 12:30pm in the State Reception Room
Senators Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Joe Fain, Andy Billig, and Don Benton invite you to a book signing event with author Daniel James Brown who wrote the New York Times best-selling book Boys in the Boat. It tells the story of the University of Washington crew team and their path to gold, defeating the elite teams of the East Coast, Great Britain, and the German team rowing for Adolf Hitler. The formal invite can be found here.
The author will also talk about The Weinstein Company’s plan to bring the story to the big screen and his thoughts on the importance of filming the upcoming motion picture at the University of Washington. Come to this event and learn more about this inspirational story and talk to elected officials about how SB 6027 will help keep Boys in the Boat and film in Washington State.
If you plan to attend, RSVP at RSVP@WashingtonFilmworks.org.
