On January 21, film professionals from around the state gathered in Olympia to meet with their legislators and express support for House Bill 2542, the bill to extend the sunset date of the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program (MPCP) and to increase its funding. Hear what these individuals have to say about some of the most interesting locations they have filmed across the state, and why they think filming in WA is an extraordinary experience!

Thanks to Gevin Booth (Producer), Krk Nordenstrom (Editor), Corvus Eye Productions, and Kleven Creative for the great work on this video!

Share this video with your elected officials. You can find out who your elected officials are here.

  • Remind them that the MPCP brings production (and dollars) to communities across the state.
  • Tell them about some of the unique locations you’ve filmed in Washington State and remind them how finding local film work affects your life.

Ask your legislators to support the legislation to extend the sunset date and increase the funding for the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program during this legislative session.

The session will soon be drawing to a close – so act now to Keep Film in WA!
