Washington Filmworks is pleased to announce that the 2022 application window for funding assistance will open on December 1, 2021.

Prior to applying, applicants are strongly encouraged to read the Guidelines & Criteria and review the application. Washington Filmworks’ Board of Directors will review each complete application and decisions about funding assistance will be based on the economic impact of each production. No application materials will be reviewed or accepted prior to December 1, 2021 and the application window will remain open until the 2022 fund has been exhausted.

Since launching in 2007, Washington FIlmworks has been able to financially support 132 projects that have hired over 24,800 Washington workers and invested an estimated $162M in the statewide economy. And after film production came to a screeching halt in 2020, Washington Filmworks was able to double its impact this year when funding was rolled over, allowing the organization to financially support six projects that will spend an estimated $22.3M directly in our economy.
