Last month Washington Filmworks (WF) went on a two-day tour of numerous cities and locations in South Central Washington. Destinations included Ellensburg, Moses Lake, the Tri-Cities and Yakima Valley. Amy Lillard and Krys Karns meet with elected officials, local Chambers of Commerce, the Visitors & Convention Bureaus, and members of the Yakima Nation. These meetings are to promote the potential economic impact of bringing motion picture production to their unique corner of Washington. We would like to thank them for their hospitality.

WF had the pleasure of scouting the areas for film-friendly locations. Some of the locations we toured on Day 1 were the town of Ellensburg and the Sand Dunes near Moses Lake. Day 2 took us to the Cable Bridge in the Tri-Cities and orchards in the Yakima Valley. Ellensburg is also featured as the WF October Location of the Month.

The visit proved that South Central Washington is home to a number of one of a kind looks. We look forward to partnering with the jurisdictions to bring more motion production to Washington State.
