The zombies are back! Washington Filmworks’ incentive project Z Nation is beginning to film its second season, and Spokane’s KREM is paying attention.

The SyFy post-apocalyptic series returns to Spokane with an additional fourteen episodes and five months of production. And did you know that 50% of the money approved productions spend in Washington State goes directly to Washington based businesses?

Motion Picture production impacts all sectors of the Washington State economy, just ask Diversified Truck & Equipment in Spokane. They have largely benefited from the show’s presence in the city – during season one of Z Nation, the project spent over $25,000 with the businesss on vehicle rental and maintenance as well as trailers for the cast and crew. This is just more proof that not only does the statewide film industry retain film talent in Washington State and help the film community, but also creates important economic opportunities for a diversity of businesses.
