Georgia Krause is a Seattle based Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker telling empathetic stories set within elevated realities. They attended NYU Tisch for Film Production and have worked on productions for National Geographic, PBS, and ABC and Netflix. Their work has premiered at DOC NYC, Jackson Wild, South Texas Underground, and was awarded the Founder’s Choice at San Diego Environmental Film Festival. Georgia is interested in creating work that makes the misunderstood familiar, and that dances between the edges of harsh and soft. When Georgia’s not making films you can find them climbing mountains and trying to make the perfect breakfast sandwich.
Georgia is beyond excited to take part in the Above the Line mentorship project with their film “Oh! Possum!”. A true crime styled conservation film that tells the true story of Grubby, a renegade opossum who stowed away from Seattle to Alaska, and turned a sleepy town upside down—birthing babies, dodging capture, and sparking a debate about nature, fame, and belonging.
