Roy Hsu

Roy Hsu is a Seattle-based screenwriter, producer, director, and actor who began his career as an advertising creative director in NYC, before switching careers and now runs his own investment advisory firm (because yes, he’s Asian and good at math), and pushes back against those who tell him to stop offending himself with stereotypes. He combines his various backgrounds in film as a producer and, with his producing partners, is working to launch a Washington State-based film fund. Roy is currently in post-production on his directorial debut, the romantic comedy CHEAP AF, which he wrote and stars Arden Cho, Margaret Cho, and Katherine McNamara. He is in pre-production on a horror comedy set to film in WA in October, and several other projects worldwide.
