Christina Morales is a Mexican-American independent filmmaker from Eastern Washington. She has been developing original stories for the screen for well over a decade, blending genres, employing allegorical concepts and channeling the complex turmoil of existing. Living in Seattle for nearly 20 years and working as a young professional meant placing creative endeavors on hold. In 2021, she returned to school earning a BA in Film and Media Studies Magna Cum Laude at Seattle University. There she made her first planned film as writer/director titled Kid King, a coming of age sci-fi fantasy about a kid who holds the universe inside them.

Since then, she has produced two independent features, a horror thriller titled S86 and a film based on a short story by Stephen King. She also took on the role as 1st AD for both projects. Working and collaborating with women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent filmmakers has been a cornerstone of the brand STARCHLD she is currently building. This includes supporting first time writers and directors with making their own films and championing their individual storytelling. Peekaboo, her second short film, focused on the unraveling of an unhoused mother who battles addiction. It recently won Best Social Justice Short Film in Ontario Canada at the Change the Script Film Festival last October.

The next flagship short film she plans to direct is adapted from an original feature script. A high fantasy concept she is calling a new age fairy tale.
