Fred Ali is an independent producer and filmmaker with roots in the Pacific Northwest. Born in Fiji and raised in Canada, Fred eventually settled in Seattle, working as an engineer for over 20 years. His unique background, driven approach, and attention to detail enrich his filmmaking with practicality and passion. Fred began his journey in film through local Seattle competitions and is currently working on a feature documentary filmed in the Northwest.

Collaborating with film directors Joon Chang and Guy Wagner, Fred’s latest project, I’m A No Count, delves into the intriguing life of a local Everett realtor who mysteriously was a garage rock pioneer from the 1960’s. The documentary examines this 79-year old’s motivations in life and the fascinating past that shaped him, featuring insights from friends and fans about his interactions with some of the era’s most renowned rock artists.
