Location Photos

When taking location photos for the film industry, consider these things:

• Take photos of the exterior of your property including your street
• Take photos interior of property from opposing corners of each room
• Be sure to include features of your property that make it unique and memorable such as a pool, barn, loading dock, roll up door, etc.
• Remember, the production doesn’t need glamour shots, they are interested in the feasibility of filming there, so make sure you get photos from all angles.
• If your property has a business or property sign, include a close-up
• Parking is a PLUS – so make sure to take photos of all the areas where the production can park their gear

Tech Specs for Photos

• Photos must be JPEG
• File size between 500KB – 10MB

At Washington Filmworks, we need permission from the person who owns the photo before we can use it. If you took the photo or clip, you probably own it. If you didn’t take it, you should verify with the person who took the photo or clip that you have their permission to let us use it. By sending us a photo or clip for us to use for any reason, you are confirming that you are the owner and are giving us your permission to use it, or the owner has given you permission to let us use it.
