LYNN SHELTON: Local Filmmaker Talks Incentive Program
Send this video to your elected officials TODAY
Director Lynn Shelton is one of Washington State’s rising stars. Over the last several years, Shelton has moved from micro-budget productions to directing network TV series. WAfilmPAC sat down with Shelton to discuss how the incentive program has been instrumental in helping to build her career. Now in the national spotlight, Shelton emphasizes how crucial an increase to the incentive program is to keep her, her films, and her crew in Washington.
Washington Filmworks has been able to financially support three of her projects ($5 Cover, Touchy Feely, and Laggies) through the production incentive program that has created family wage jobs and opportunities for local cast and crew. We have had the privilege to work with successful filmmakers like Shelton and as they become more successful on the national scene, we need a program to sustain their success in Washington State.
Watch Shelton discuss the importance of keeping film in Washington here.

Send this video to your elected officials and tell them your personal story while asking them to support the bill to increase funding for the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program and to make sure that the legislation is included in the final budget.
We thank WAfilmPAC for producing this video. Let’s keep Lynn Shelton and film in WA!
